Global Sources Consumer Electronics show opens today
with Asia’s first Audio Sourcing Hall

HONG KONG, April 11, 2019 Global Sources Consumer Electronics opens today at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo with more than 3,900 booths of the latest, home, outdoor, auto and commercial electronics, gaming, computer and accessories, security, smart living and electronic components products.

Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Electronics Group, said: “In response to the market demand for audio products, we have set up Asia’s first and only dedicated Audio Sourcing Hall, with over 500 booths. We have also worked with the China Audio Industry Association (CAIA) to create the new Audio Technology Zone, and joined forces with the Hi-Res Wireless Audio Union to establish a complete ecosystem and make the show a must-attend event for the audio industry.”

New Consumer Electronics highlights this April include:

  •   Asia's 1st Audio Sourcing Hall
 Global Sources Consumer Electronics is the first and only trade fair in Asia to dedicate an entire hall to audio products sourcing, offering a comprehensive range from speakers and headphones to professional audio, home theater systems, true wireless stereo (TWS) and more.
 •   Audio Technology Zone
  An area showcasing the development of high-resolution, wireless and smart audio technology in cooperation with the China Audio Industry Association (CAIA). It features innovative products from Huawei, BES, SoundAI and GCEC for buyers to try and experience the latest audio technology.
 •   Smart Home Pavilion
 It features products compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Tuya and Zigbee, with a new biometric and smart lock zone. Selected exhibitors in Hall 2 are set to offer buyers the Smart Home Experience so they may try out a range of products first-hand.
 •   Global Sources Innovation Awards
 The Global Sources Innovation Awards aims to recognize and promote outstanding innovation and applications, encouraging innovation and excellence from enterprises in their pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business needs.

 •   Personal Transporter Test Drive
 An Experience Zone and demo area where buyers can try out the latest design of hoverboards, e-bikes and other personal transportation device, as well as watch demonstrations from suppliers of their latest products’ functions and capabilities.
 •   Next-Gen Components Zone
 A teardown showcase for components in key application categories – Automotive, Industrial & Robotics, Smart Living, Smart Security, Wearables & Medical – with a new Taiwan Zone powered by TEEMA (Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association).

Global Sources Consumer Electronics is scheduled to host a series of on-site conferences including The Future of Audio Products, Smart Living with Intelligent Connectivity, Online & Mobile Retail Strategies and Smart Sourcing & Manufacturing. Top industry experts plan to share their views on market trends and industry development.

Top buyers from 150 countries and territories expected to attend
Tens of thousands of international top buyers are expected to attend the April 2019 Global Sources trade shows.
