HONG KONG, Sept. 26, 2011 – Judges have selected 25 products as finalists for Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) fifth annual Electronics Design Awards (GSEDA). The Awards aim to honor the most innovative electronics among exporters from Greater China and Asia.

This year's Awards will recognize the finest innovative models of computer and networking products, consumer electronics, security, telecom and wireless products, and the increasingly popular solar and energy saving products.

Winning products will be announced on Oct. 11, 2011, at the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components, Security Products and Solar & Energy Saving Products press conference, and unveiled at the Fairs' Electronics Design Awards Gallery. The shows will run from Oct. 12-15 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

President of Global Sources Exhibitions, Tommy Wong, said: "Innovation is fundamental for technology advancement. The Awards will also provide additional market exposure for winning companies, as the products will be featured at the Electronics Design Awards Gallery of the highly popular China Sourcing Fairs visited by tens of thousands of top international buyers.

The 25 finalists, chosen by a panel of industry experts from over 200 entries, have been selected based on outstanding design, unique features, innovative manufacturing and commercial success.

Finalists in each category are:

• Computer and networking products: Kinwei Technology (Shenzhen), Newmi Digital Tech., Noon Technology, Shenzhen Hali-power Industrial and Yifang Digital Technology
• Consumer electronics: Coagent Electronic S&T, Kinwei Technology (Shenzhen), Netcom Technology (HK), Shenzhen Mele Digital Technology and Shenzhen Roadrover Technology
• Security products: Anviz Biometric Technology, Asia Security Technology, Shenzhen Yiant Security Equipment, Xingtel Security Xiamen and Zhuhai Roule Electric
• Solar and energy saving products: Dongguan Fullhoard Photoelectric Technology, Dongguan Xinju Optoelectronics Technology, Haiyan Chaohong Electronic Technology, Shenzhen Gengchuang Electronics and Shenzhen Guanke Scientific and Technological
