Global Sources announced the opening of the 14th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China) at the Xian Greenland PICO International Convention and Exhibition Center on Mar. 02, 2009.

IIC-China, the only systems design event in mainland China, has been successfully held in China for 13 years. This event has attracted renowned electronic manufacturers across the nation and all over the world to gather in Xi'an.

Zhao Jing, Deputy Director of the Zone's management committee, opened the show with a keynote address titled "Booming development of Xian's IC industry".

Top semiconductor companies will discuss the latest technology available for embedded systems, power management, digital consumer electronics and wireless communications at the IIC-China Summit, Power Electronics Summit and Vendor Seminars. The educational conferences at IIC-China will also provide a studying opportunity for Xi'an's electronic engineers, with the latest technology and methodology required to create next-generation electronics design. In addition, IIC-China expands its Components Zone, mainland China's largest electronic components sourcing event, to Xi'an, where component manufacturers showcase the latest passive and electromechanical technologies.

"Xi'an is China's fourth largest electronics supply market and is critical to the future of China's design and manufacturing," said Mark A. IIC-China is scheduled to close today and move on to Beijing's China World Trade Center on March 5 to 6, then to Shanghai Mart on March 9 to10.
