China's largest systems design and electronic components sourcing events open in Dongguan for the first time today
IIC-China and co-located Components Zone's inaugural events feature more than 90 booths of technologies and components; Sept. 17-18 at GD Modern International Exhibition Center; HDMI Developers Conference Sept. 18
Dongguan, CHINA, September 17, 2009 – The fall edition of the 14th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.english.iic-china.com), including the co-located Components Zone (http://www.cz.IIC-China.com), will open in the GD Modern International Exhibition Center today. This inaugural event in Dongguan is scheduled to feature 94 booths and to run until Sept. 18.

IIC-China and co-located Components Zone will showcase the latest products and services from top international and local technology and component vendors in Dongguan. Exhibitors include Altium, Mueller Electric, Ningbo Xinya Machine & Electronic, Pioneer Electronics, Shenzhen Biyadi Microelectronics, Shenzhen Huafuyang Import & Export, Shenzhen Oriental Jiaying Industrial, Shenzhen Sun & Lynn Circuit and Texas Instruments.

"Over the years, Dongguan and its neighboring cities have transformed their electronics industry from OEM factories to innovative manufacturers specializing in best-of-class consumer electronics. According to the municipal government of Dongguan, the city's electronics and information technology industry is set to double in size by 2012, reaching RMB 100 billion," said Mark A. Informative Conference and Keynote Addresses by Electronics Industry Leaders

Engineers will have a unique opportunity to learn about enabling technology from international and local industry gurus during seminars at the show. The IIC-China Keynote Address will be delivered by Fairchild Semiconductor's Vice President of China and South East Asia Sales, Benjamin Tan. Mr. Tan's presentation will be on 'Green power: A global vision for a new world'. And Tyco Electronics Raychem's ESD Protection Expert, Dr. Jason Ho, will deliver the Components Zone Keynote Address 'ESD Protection in HDMI interface'.

Atmel, FocalTech Systems, Molex and Sentelic Corporation are set to host a Summit on 'Product upgrade: Designing in touch technology'. Atmel and Altium will hold Vendor Seminars at the show too.

A highlight of the two days will be Greg Jenik, President and COO of TAEUS International Corporation, presentation on display technology and patent licensing. This Intellectual Property Summit will take place on Sept. 17 and aims to accelerate design in China.

HDMI Licensing, LLC will also host the third HDMI Developers Conference at IIC-China's Dongguan venue on Sept. 18. The one-day conference program will extend best practice for applying the recently released HDMI Specification Version 1.4 in product design. The conference will feature presentations from Quantum Data, RedMere, Silicon Image and Tektronix.

Dongguan is the second location of the new fall schedule of IIC-China and co-located Components Zone. The show is scheduled to run through Sept. 17 and 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., then go to Chengdu on Sept. 22-23. For more information, visit http://www.english.iic-china.com .
