IIC-China and co-located Components Zone to expand to Wuhan, Chengdu and Dongguan this September
DONGGUAN, CHINA, September 9, 2009 – The inaugural fall edition of the International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.english.IIC-China.com) and co-located Components Zone (http://www.cz.IIC-China.com) will be held on Sept. 14. The shows will take place for the very first time in the emerging technology centers of Wuhan and Dongguan, and then travel to Chengdu for the second year running. Covering the whole production cycle from design to components sourcing, IIC-China and Components Zone will feature close to 300 booths across three locations:
  • Wuhan: Sept. 14-15, Wuhan Science & Technology Convention and Exhibition Center
  • Dongguan: Sept. 17-18, GD Modern International Exhibition Center
  • Chengdu: Sept. 22-23, Chengdu Shangri-La Hotel

Mark A. Saunderson, President of Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) Electronics Business Unit, said: "China is now the world's single biggest source of manufactured electronics and the largest market for IC technology. Leading technology and components vendors to exhibit at IIC-China and Components Zone

Some of the biggest names in the technology industry, including multinationals like Altium, Analog Devices, Broadcom, Cyan, Linear Technology, Numonyx and Texas Instruments are due to demonstrate their latest technologies at IIC-China. Joining them will be home-grown design companies such as Biyadi, Kunshan Visionox, Megawin, Shanghai Sino-IC Mircoelectronics and Shenzhen Changyuntong IC Design. A large number of companies like Eyang Technology, Meder-GHL Electronic, Mueller Electric, Shenzhen Oriental Jiaying Industrial, Shenzhen Sun & Lynn Circuit and Xiamen Letdo Electron will exhibit alongside these companies in the Components Zone.

Educational conferences prepare engineers for growth in 2010

Engineers will have a unique opportunity to learn about enabling technology from international and local industry gurus at over 30 seminars across six days. Senior technology experts from ARM China, Broadcom, Fairchild Semiconductor, FCI, Shenzhen Songtian Technology and Tyco Electronics have been invited to deliver Keynote Addresses at the shows.

Summits by Atmel, FocalTech Systems, Infineon Technologies, Intel, Numonyx, Maxim, Molex and Sentelic are scheduled to take place. While Actel, Altium, Analog Devices, Atmel, Numonyx, Microsoft, Spansion and TriQuint Semiconductor will host Vendor Seminars across the three cities.

A highlight of the Dongguan show is Greg Jenik, president and COO of TAEUS International Corporation, presentation on display technology and patent licensing. This Intellectual Property Summit will take place on Sept. 17 and aims to accelerate design in China.

HDMI Licensing, LLC will also host the third HDMI Developers Conference at IIC-China's Dongguan venue on Sept. 18. The one-day conference program will extend best practice for applying the recently released HDMI Specification Version 1.4 in product design. The conference will feature presentations from Quantum Data, RedMere, Silicon Image and Tektronix.

In addition, the editors of EE Times-China will announce the results of the Eighth China IC Design House Survey on Sept. 17 in Dongguan.
