China Sourcing Fair Exhibitors Donate Product Samples to Charity
HONG KONG, May 23, 2008 –More than 80 exhibitors participated in Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) Care & Share charity program held during the April China Sourcing Fairs (http://www.chinasourcingfair.com) in Hong Kong. Five truckloads of donated items were given to non-profit organization Crossroads International to distribute to people affected by natural disasters, conflict and in economically depressed communities.
Display samples were contributed by exhibitors following the spring China Sourcing Fairs: Gifts & Home Products, Baby & Children's Products, Electronics & Components, Fashion Accessories and Underwear & Swimwear held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Exhibitors donated products ranging from toys to consumer electronics and products for the home. Global Sources' Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "Thanks to the generosity of our exhibitors, the Care & Share program continues to grow. This April, we collected more products than ever before and thanks to Crossroads International, these items will reach the people who need them most." Director of Crossroads International, Sally Begbie, said: "These are the kinds of items that are desperately needed by the people we serve. Once again, we're extremely grateful to Global Sources and its exhibitors for their generosity." Information on the Care & Share charity program and its participating donors are available at:
