Mainland China's Largest-ever International IC-China Conference & Exhibition Opens Today in Shenzhen with over 800 Booths

SHENZHEN, March 3, 2008 – Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) announced that the 13th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.english.iic-china.com) opens at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center today with over 800 booths and more than 300 exhibitors.

Microsoft Windows Embedded Business General Manager, Kevin Dallas, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on 'Powering Smart, Connected, Service-Oriented Devices'.

The event is scheduled to be held in Shenzhen on March 3-4 then in:

  • Beijing: March 6-7, China World Trade Center
  • Shanghai: March 10-11, Shanghai Mart

Top International and Local Technology Companies to Exhibit

IIC-China is expected to showcase the latest products and solutions from the world's top technology companies including Analog Devices, Atmel, Fairchild, International Rectifier, Intersil, Macronix, Maxim, Microsoft, NEC, Numonyx, NXP Semiconductors, Renesas, Silicon Labs, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments.

Total combined output from the Guangdong electronic and IT industry reached US$160 billion in 2006, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

IIC-China Shenzhen to Host Expanded Components Pavilion and Private Buyer Meetings

Building on a successful 2007 debut in Shenzhen, IIC-China expects to expand the scale of its Components Pavilion in 2008 to feature over 150 component manufacturers in Shenzhen. The Pavilion is set to showcase the latest passive and electromechanical technologies at more than 190 booths.

In 2008 IIC-China is scheduled to feature a Components Pavilion in Chengdu and Shanghai for the first time.

Exhibitors expected at the Pavilion are Fronter Electronics, Guang Dong Kexin Industrial, Harvatek Opto Electronics, Mueller Electric, New Grand Tech, Shenzhen GD Techway Electronic, Shenzhen Plante Power, Shenzhen Trxcom Electronics, Universal Electronics and Win Power Industrial.

Private Buyer Meetings held onsite in Shenzhen offer pre-selected exhibitors exclusive opportunities to meet face-to-face with leading electronics OEMs including IBM, Lexmark and Tyco Electronics.

Top IC Industry Executives to host Conference Programs

The IIC-China conference program in 2008 features Electronics Supply Summit, Power Electronics Summit, Vendor Seminars, as well as the new Executive Round Table and Open Forums in Shenzhen.

Senior executives from top local and international technology companies are scheduled to present to engineers next-generation technologies applied on hottest products in the market, including audio/video, embedded systems, digital consumer electronics, wireless communication and power management.

Companies scheduled to host these conferences include Altera, Analog Devices, Freescale Semiconductor, Infineon, Intel, International Rectifier, Shanghai Jade Technologies, Micrel, NXP Semiconductors, On Semiconductor, Power Integration and Texas Instruments.
